Riparian Areas

Protecting and Restoring Riparian Areas

Improve water quality, stabilize stream banks, enhance wildlife habitat, and support healthy ecosystems.

Riparian and wetland areas on grazing lands require special care to maintain their ecological function and resilience. RangeWise helps public and private land managers apply sound management guidelines, identify early warning signs of degradation, and develop practical restoration strategies.

From project design to implementation and long-term monitoring, we provide the expertise needed to restore riparian areas and ensure lasting results.

Expertise in Riparian Restoration and Management

At RangeWise, we have the training and experience to confidently tackle riparian restoration. Owner Shane Green has completed the intensive two-week Applied Fluvial Geomorphology training at the Rosgen School in Colorado, spent a decade working on the Chalk Creek Watershed Project in Northern Utah, and co-authored the recently published Guidelines for Riparian Forest Restoration in Utah. He has also led numerous assessments using Proper Functioning Condition (PFC) and Stream Visual Assessment Protocol (SVAP) methods.

We offer expert support in assessing riparian conditions, designing effective restoration projects, and implementing grazing management plans that promote long-term ecosystem health. Let us help you develop practical, science-based solutions for your riparian and wetland areas.
